2012 China International Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES 2012) was held in Qingdao on July 5. SINOCES is the only state-level professional consumer electronic show approved by the State Council, the only professional consumer electronics show in Asia-Pacific region that is certificated and promoted by the US government, and the only domestic show that conducts strategic cooperation with the global largest consumer electronic show CES. With the theme of “Intelligence benefits the globe”, SINOCES 2012 covers an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, with booths of 1,526 and domestic and foreign participating enterprises 465. It set up ten special exhibition zones on intelligent cities & internet of things, mobiles Internet products, application of international three-dimension display technology and video devices, environmental protection by intelligence, e-commerce, etc. during the Show, 16 high level summit forums will be held, discussing hot topics of industrial development trend, internet of things, development of intelligent cities, cloud computing, informationization of retailing industry and regional cooperation. Vice Minister of Commerce Jiang Yaoping and Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial People's Congress Cui Yuechen attended the opening ceremony.
