The China  Industry Federation (CMIF) and China Association of Automobiles Manufacturers (CM) on Thursday announced the country's top 100 machinery manufacturers and top 30 automobiles producers in 2012, respectively.

China National Machinery Industry Corporation topped the list of machinery manufacturers with main business revenues totaling 212 billion yuan ($34.3 billion), up 11.73 percent , according to CMIF Vice President Cai Weici.

The top four car manufacturers each reported business revenues totaling more than 200 billion yuan, with  Automobiles Industry Co taking the top spot.

Machinery and automobiles manufacturers are faring well despite the economic slowdown and sluggish market, said CMIF President Wang Ruixiang.

About half of the country's machinery and automobiles companies saw profit growth last year, Wang added.
