On May 9, CCCME Vice President attended the 2019 Schneider Electric Seminar on Overseas EPC Cooperative Partners Summit held in Wuxi. He delivered a keynote speech on the seminar and participated the discussion. Hosted by Schneider Electric, this seminar focused on positively responding to the “Belt and Road Initiative” and jointly creating an overseas EPC ecosystem for enterprises to “go global” together and share the achievements of BRI. It attracted more than 150 representatives from industrial organizations, EPC and machinery and electronic equipment enterprises.
Vice President Shi Yonghong introduced the development of Chinese companies in the process of “going abroad” in 2018, and contracts and implementation of overseas contracted projects of electric power and electricity industry. He pointed out that President Xi Jingping stressed in his keynote speech on the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that China will take a series of actions to promote higher level of opening up, and jointly build the BRI with all parties along the direction of high-quality development. He also mentioned that overseas projects contracting and investment cooperation of electric power and electricity industry have always been an important content of connectivity, and the advancement of BRI and the international cooperation initiatives will drive countries in Asia, Africa and more countries along the road, including developed ones, to invest in infrastructure construction and related projects. This will bring about more business opportunities to enterprises in this industry in the process of “going abroad” together. CCCME would like to play a more positive role in this process, build an exchange platform and work with other parties to achieve win-win development goals.
